Welcome To The
Kiwanis Club University City
Established in 1972, University Kiwanis ranks as the largest Kiwanis organization in Division 17 and among the largest clubs per capita in the Carolinas District. The efforts of the club's founder, former Greenville Mayor Les Garner, set out to mobilize a team of passionate, civic-minded men who would lay the groundwork for what is now nearly five decades of "Serving the Children of the World" right here in eastern North Carolina. With a membership of more than 80, University City Kiwanis has provided countless volunteer hours and donated more than $1.5 million to help improve the lives of children in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina, and throughout the United States and world.
Let us help you spread your charitable contribution, as we partner with local 501(c)(3) non-profits to put the money into the hands of those that need it in our community.

Importance of Kiwanis
Welcome to The University City Kiwanis Club. I became a member of our club just over 7 years ago and my main motivation was to expand my professional network with businessmen in our community. What I didn’t realize at the time was how important Kiwanis would become to me. Our mission is to help the children of the world and that includes the ones in Pitt County. In our club we have our weekly meeting every Monday. We share a great meal, fellowship, and hear from a speaker in our community. We also have our events we host throughout the year. Our major events include our Pancake Day where we partner with the Boys & Girls Club, our Golf Tournament, and our Rooster Roast that helps send kids to summer camp.
I have served on the board or in an elected office in our club for the last 5 years and have not only been fulfilled by what we have been able to accomplish as a club, but also through the friendships I have developed. Getting involved in the club especially in leadership has been a huge blessing to me. I have made friendships with members of our club that I wouldn’t have ordinally made.
My ask would be if you are looking for GOOD FOOD, good friends, and you want to be a part of something bigger than yourself than you have come to the right place. We would love to have you join and be a part of The University City Kiwanis Club.
